YORUBA NATION YOUTHS WARNS - DON'T BRING SHARIA LAW TO YORUBALAND TERRITORY

Don't Bring Sharia to Yorubaland territory- Yoruba Nation youths Warns

The Yoruba National Youths both Home and Diaspora has warned against any move by any group to introduce Sharia law or court to the South-West zone of the Nigeria through the any means

The youths said they are ready to defend their land and fight with their last blood whatever that will destabilise the process of Yoruba Nation autonomy which include imposition of Sharia in Yorubaland

The Supreme Council for Sharia'ah in Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter has proposed January 11, 2025 for the inauguration ceremony of Sharia Court in Oyo town and its environs at Muslim community Islamic centre, Oba Adeyemi High School road, Mobolaje area, Agbogangan, Oyo.

They described the actions of the organisers of the proposed Sharia court in Oyo town as a laughing stock.

They warned that the adoption of the Shari’a in Yorubaland woud not go down well with those people who are supporting the idea as their household will be completely wipe out from the land.

"We are rightly coming for them. We are going to make Oyo state ungovernable on or before that day if they insist on plans.

In a statement issued by the Yoruba National Youth Leader Diaspora, Prophet Ayodele Ologunloluwa and Comrade Oyegunle Oluwamayowa Omotoyole [Omayor]] homebase said any move to bring Islamic Sharia laws or court to Yorubaland would be resisted by the youths

"We warn Nigeria government not to divide us in Yoruba land as we are only concerned about Yoruba Nation self-determination for now.

'Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the Leader of the Yoruba, once said, "Kaka ka dobale fun Gambari ka kuku roju Ku" which means "instead of a Yorubaman prostrating for a Hausa Fulani it is better to take courage and die".

"We Yoruba youths are ready to die to defend our land rather than allowing Hausa-Fulani to take over. We are also warning those behind this plan to unsettle the peace being enjoyed in Yorubaland. They should to desist before it's too late.

"Sharia law is alien to our "Abalaye culture and way of living in the South-West. As such, nobody should through any subterfuge, bring in an alien culture so as to cause crisis in our land.

"The right to take pride in our ethnicity and invoke the principle of self-determination cannot be denied. We are really ready for Yoruba nation autonomy.

"We reject the concept of enthronement of Sharia law or court in Yorubaland. We reject the notion that we must bury our development and values and enthrone the idea of a strange and complicated Sharia where we are expected to live with and accomodate those that hate our faith, despise our people, scorn our values and that rape, maim and kill our loved ones.

"It is now fact that the Hausa-Fulani Herdsmen want to make Oyo town their base because they know that Oyo is the Headquarters of Yorubaland which we intend to make the seat of power for Yoruba Nation.

"We are all appealing to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State not to accept their proposal to bring Sharia to his state. They shoud be resisted by al means.

'We also are calling on our south-west governors and Yoruba monarchs, Senators, local government Chairmen and councillors to rise up and fight for the people that put them in position.

It is not a crime if someone is asking for an end to oppression. The Hausa-Fulani is pushing too far to destabilise Yorubaland by trying to establish Sharia court in Oyo town

"Yorubaland must be free, Oyo state must be free. We are more determined now to move forward to defend Yoruba nation. "We don’t want Nigeria again but the Yoruba nation. Our quest for Yoruba Nation self-determination is non-negotiable.

"The truth is that no force in hell or on earth can stop the rise and establishment of the sovereign state which will one day be carved out of what is presently known as Nigeria," the youths added.
